Note that each hatch pattern has its own entry that includes a Title, Scale, Angle, and Pattern name. The image below shows a section of the Hatch Patterns drawing. You can easily make changes to the scale and rotation (angle) of these hatches to adapt them to your preferences or office standards. The easiest way to customize a hatch pattern is to edit one of the existing hatch patterns in the Hatch Patterns drawing referenced above.
Step 1: Editing the Groundcover Hatch Patterns in the Hatch Patterns Drawing It's important that you add and make edits to the hatches using both these methods. Step 2, editing the hatches using Generic Plants, enacts your change to the hatches within the system. Step 1, editing the hatches in the Land F/X Hatch Patterns Drawing, edits the hatches not only in CAD but in your file system. We've presented the steps below as a two-step process intentionally. Instead, we recommend finding a hatch pattern that is reasonably close to the pattern you are looking for – whether it is one of our existing hatches or another hatch you find or purchase from a third-party source. Hatch creation from scratch is a difficult, involved process that is best left to professionals.
Note: Although it is technically possible to create your own hatch pattern as a block and then save it as a hatch, we do not recommend attempting this onerous task. When you add or edit a hatch, you'll simply add an entry for it to the Hatch Patterns drawing.įor more information on saving a hatch into our system, visit our Save Hatches documentation section. That way, you can replicate your changes if necessary after a reinstallation, computer loss, etc. We also recommend using the Hatch Patterns drawing as a backup of any changes you make to our default hatchesX.
If desired, you can then adjust or delete any of the patterns, as well as add new ones. We recommend printing the various pages of the Hatch Patterns drawing linked above.
